SPEAKER: Timothy M. Summers, Lawyer

TOPIC: A Higher State: Cannabis Law in BC

We are pleased to announce lawyer Timothy (Tim) Summers will be speaking to us on the much-anticipated topic of the new cannabis laws in BC.

Tim attended the University of Victoria where he completed both undergraduate and law degrees. During his studies, he spent a term working for the Law Society of Nunavut, and another working at the University of Victoria’s Law Centre.

After articling in Victoria, Tim practiced in the Cowichan Valley before joining Crease Harman as an associate in 2015. He has extensive experience in front of the Provincial and Supreme Courts of BC, in courthouses across the island and province.

Tim has represented clients before the Office of the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles, the BC Human Rights Tribunal and various other administrative tribunals.

Tim’s current focus is civil litigation with a particular interest in the emergent cannabis industry.
